Bridgeport Police Shooting: Independent Company Says SUV Driven By Teen Was Stolen: Report
The attorney of Jayson Negron's father claimed last week that the vehicle did not appear to be stolen

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Contrary to a claim from his father's attorney, A report from Carfax says that the SUV driven by 15-year-old Jayson Negron before he was fatally shot by a Bridgeport police officer had been reported stolen, reports the Connecticut Post.
The Post's report indicates that based on the information Hearst Connecticut Media provided to the independent vehicle history provider Carfax, the 2012 Subaru Forester was reported stolen on April 12 and that it was recovered on May 10, the day following the incident.

Michael Rosnick, who represents Negron's Father, told Hearst Connecticut Media that it appeared the vehicle was not stolen. However, Rosnick did not provide evidence to support his claim.
Julian Fyffe, 21, was wounded in the shooting and filed a $6 million federal lawsuit against the city. Fyffe's lawsuit alleges that police stopped the car without cause, were wrong to use deadly force and didn't provide immediate medical care, according to the Connecticut Post.
