Connecticut's Beardsely Zoo In Bridgeport Receives New Grant

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo recently received a $10,000 grant from the PSEG Foundation and the Corporate, Culture and Citizenship Department which will go toward the zoo's Conservation Discovery Corps program, zoo officials announced.

The program is a yearlong effort that allows high school students to work with field biologists on various zoo projects.

Applications for the program will be accepted until Jan. 15, with training to begin next month. For more information, visit the zoo's website.
