Deadly Car Crash in Bridgeport After Police Chase

The car crash in Bridgeport killed one.

BRIDGEPORT--A deadly car accident in Bridgeport Monday left one man dead.

The CT Post reports that the 4:30 p.m. crash occurred after police tried to stop a speeding vehicle. That driver then hit another car, killing the second driver.

The crash occurred at Barnum Avenue and Pembroke Street.

Police were pursuing Geraldo Maldonado, 20, of Bridgeport when he crashed his Saturn into a Chevy Trailblazer, which flipped over, ejecting driver David Anthony Anderson, 22, of Seymour, according to the CT Post.

Anderson later died from injuries sustained in the crash, the CT Post reports.
