Father Charged in Bridgeport Baby's Death: Reports

BRIDGEPORT — A city man has been charged with first-degree manslaughter in connection with his baby son's death on April 25, according to multiple media reports. Derrick Siberon was arrested in connection with the investigation and is also charged with risk of injury to a minor.

An autopsy led to the ruling that the baby boy's death was a homicide. The 10-month-old infant was found unresponsive at the Greene Homes apartment complex on Highland Avenue on April 25, and was pronounced dead at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Reports indicate Siberon turned himself in Thursday and was held on a $250,000 bond.
