BRIDGEPORT, CT — The investigation into the killing of Dyshan Best, 39, by Bridgeport Police Officer Yoon Heo on Monday is continuing, according to Connecticut Inspector General Robert Devlin Jr.
Devlin released preliminary findings in the case, writing that Best "displayed an object that appeared to be a gun in his right hand" before Heo shot him, which followed a foot chase on Kossuth Street in Bridgeport.
A Highpoint Compact 9mm handgun was found on the ground next to Best, who was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where he underwent surgery but was pronounced dead Monday night.
