Motorist Dies In Rollover Crash In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A motorist died Tuesday morning in an accident on Indian Avenue.

Shawnna White, city public information officer, said the accident happened around 5:30 a.m.

One vehicle was involved in the crash, according to White, who said the vehicle rolled over and struck a utility pole.

The Fire Department responded to the scene because the individual was trapped inside the vehicle and needed to be extricated.

According to White, the victim’s name is unknown at this time.

United Illuminating responded to the scene to repair the pole.
