M&T Bank closing branches at 8 Connecticut Stop & Shops (wtnh.com) — If you bank with M&T at the Brookside Stop & Shop on Main Street in Bridgeport, that in-store branch will close on April 30, though an ATM will remain. It’s one of eight Connecticut Stop & Shop locations losing branches as the bank shifts toward more stand-alone offices statewide.
   

2. 2 of CT's largest cities join 5 other communities in filing lawsuits vs. insulin drugmakers, PBMs (hartfordbusiness.com) — Bridgeport has joined New Haven and five other Connecticut communities in suing major insulin manufacturers and pharmacy benefit managers, alleging a long-running price-fixing scheme. City officials say inflated insulin costs drained public funds from employee health plans, and the case is expected to be folded into a large federal multidistrict lawsuit in New Jersey.
   

3. Dozens Of Students From Bridgeport Earn Dean's List Honors At UConn (patch.com) — Dozens of local students from Bridgeport have earned a spot on UConn’s fall 2025 Dean’s List, highlighting strong academic achievement close to home. The university released a long list of Bridgeport residents recognized for their hard work, spanning many neighborhoods and backgrounds.

Justice Department sues Connecticut and Arizona as part of effort to get voter data from the states (abc15.com) — Bridgeport is cited as the site of a recent absentee ballot scandal that some Connecticut lawmakers say has embarrassed the state nationally, adding pressure to debates over election integrity. That scandal is now part of the backdrop as Connecticut and Arizona face Justice Department lawsuits seeking detailed voter data, which state officials argue would violate privacy and state law.
