Suspect Arrested In Fatal Stabbing In Bridgeport: Police

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 40-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested on a murder charge Friday afternoon in connection with the fatal stabbing of 29-year-old Southington resident Kyle Allen LeBlanc in Bridgeport, according to police.

Ricardo Maldonado was arrested Friday afternoon outside his residence on Cowles Street, only blocks from where the murder occurred, the Thirty Plus Social Club at 1985 Stratford Ave. in Bridgeport.

Maldonado was arrested only hours after the incident, and is being held in lieu of bail of $750,000. Maldonado and the victim were associates, according to police.

LeBlanc was found bleeding in the street near Bruce Avenue in Stratford at about 3 a.m. on Friday, suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Authorities quickly determined the primary crime scene was behind the Thirty Plus Social Club in Bridgeport.
