The incident occurred on I-95, according to Connecticut State Police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 23-year-old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania man was arrested on weapons and related violations by Connecticut State Police last week, after the suspect brandished a handgun during a road rage incident on I-95 in Bridgeport, according to authorities.

Kelvin Abreudy Segura Tejada was taken into custody on Friday following the 6 p.m. incident southbound on the thruway, and was charged with the following:

  • Carrying a Pistol without a Permit
  • Reckless Endangerment, 1st Degree
  • Threatening, 1st Degree/Displaying a Firearm
  • Breach of Peace, 2nd Degree
  • Negligent Storage of a Firearm

According to state police, the incident began when a caller alerted the department that "the operator of a white tractor-trailer had brandished a firearm at them" while on I-95 southbound near exit 22. The caller was able to give state police a description of the truck, based in part on a decal that was on the back of the vehicle.

Troopers spotted the truck, which had a Tennessee license plate, and pulled it over near exit 17.

"During their interaction, Tejada admitted to being involved in an incident with another driver, but denied pointing a firearm at them," state police wrote in a statement. "However, Tejada indicated that there was a handgun inside of the truck by the driver's side door. Troopers conducted a search of the truck and subsequently located a loaded handgun."
