Woman Killed In Shooting, Man Critically Injured: Bridgeport Police

There were multiple shooters involved in the attack, according to police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A woman was killed and a man was critically injured in a weekend shooting in Bridgeport, according to police.

Brandaja Azjree Florence Winston, 28, of Bridgeport, was identified Sunday by police as the deceased. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the attack after officers responded around 2:30 a.m. Saturday to a ShotSpotter activation near Stratford and Carroll avenues, police said.

They arrived to find Winston lying on the sidewalk, and people reported seeing a second victim, according to police, who said that person — a 30-year-old Bridgeport man — went to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and was in critical condition.
