Brookfield's Most Expensive Property On The Market Is This One (patch.com) — Brookfield home shoppers can now eye a nearly $2 million new-construction waterfront property on Lake Lillinonah, listed as the town’s most expensive home for sale. The 4-bedroom house on Nicoles Court offers 150 feet of water frontage, expansive glass walls, and over three acres of privacy, giving Brookfield buyers a high-end option in the local market.

2. Brookfield Board of Selectmen Approves Opioid Settlement Funds Allocation (patch.com) — Brookfield residents will see more targeted support for addiction services after the Board of Selectmen unanimously approved allocating over $20,000 in opioid settlement funds, contingent on proper documentation from recipient groups. The board also advanced several year-end 2026 budget and capital transfers for Board of Finance review and filled key volunteer roles on the Municipal Building Committee, Planning and Zoning Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals.

3. Verizon says ‘unreliable or non-existent service' is at stake in latest Brookfield cell tower battle (nhregister.com) — Brookfield residents are gearing up for another major fight over a proposed 175-foot Verizon cell tower on Hidden Brook Drive, near Lake Lillinonah and a local condo complex. Verizon says the tower is needed to fix unreliable service in northeast Brookfield and southern Bridgewater, while more than 200 residents argue coverage is already adequate and fear environmental, aesthetic, and property value impacts as the state siting council prepares for a public hearing.

4. Here are 25 Connecticut CIAC high school boys swimmers to watch in the 2025-26 season (newstimes.com) — Brookfield swim fans can watch sophomore standout Gavin Paige after his strong freshman State Open showing in the 500 freestyle and 200 IM.
