A Taco Tuesday Favorite in Collinsville

In the past year and half, the Crown and Hammer has offered its $2 "Taco Tuesday" creations but just which is the favorite among fish, beef, chicken and bean varieties?  

Confronted with that question this week, one of the restaurant's managers, Nick Gencarelli, could not immediately produce hard, quantitative data but had a good sense of where customers stood on the issue.

"I'd say chicken is the most popular choice although we do sell a lot of fish in the summer," he said. 

The $2 tacos are offered between 5 and 9 p.m. Tuesdays, accompanied by a $2 Corona special. Sides of sour cream, guac or salsa are 75 cents extra. The night also features trivia, which starts at approximately 8:15 p.m.
