Canton Election Results 2025: GOP Selectman Apparently Ousted, 2 Dems Elected To BoS: UPDATE
Canton residents cast their ballots for several key local races on Election Day. Here are the latest results.

CANTON, CT — The polls have now closed as Canton residents cast their votes for several key municipal positions in town.
And according to the most recent numbers on the Connecticut Secretary of the State's website, Canton voters have elected two Democrats and ousted a Republican incumbent on the board of selectmen.
Those numbers show Democrats Sarah Faulkner (2,113 votes) and Sarah Hague (2,095 votes) earning election to the town's top elected body.

Incumbent Republican Steve Sedor, with only 1,596 votes, was apparently ousted from the board.
According to Canton's town charter, all board of selectmen terms are four-year terms, including the first selectman.

With the first selectman seat — currently held by Republican Kevin Witkos — not being contested this year, the two selectmen seats were the lone ones up for grabs Tuesday.
In 2027, Witkos's seat and the other two selectmen's seats will be contested.
