Canton Parent Group To Host Open House

'Canton Parents as Teachers' is seeking members to participate in programs aimed at preparing young children for school.

CANTON, CT — A local organization aimed at helping parents prepare their infants, toddlers and preschoolers for public schools is looking for participants.

The organization is called "Canton Parents as Teachers" and it is for Canton families with children aged birth to kindergarten age.

"The program has many services available to families and is currently enrolling for their fall early learning groups," wrote CPAT.

Groups are open for children and their adults, ages 1 to kindergarten.

These groups are held Monday, Tuesday or Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Canton High School, 76 Simonds Ave., in CPAT's specially designed classroom.

CPAT has already had two open houses this week, with another planned for Thursday, Sept. 14 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

"Feel free to stop in one of these days to meet the staff and enjoy the playroom with your child during our open house times," wrote CPAT.
