Canton's School Calendar For 2025-26: What You Need To Know

CANTON, CT — Summer is almost over for Canton students, with the first day of school for most students being Wednesday, Aug. 27 (high school seniors), and Thursday, Aug. 28, for the rest.

Here are some of the important 2025-26 school year dates for the Canton School System:

Start date: Canton High School seniors — Wednesday, Aug. 27; K-11 students — Thursday, Aug. 28.

Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 4

Thanksgiving break: Thursday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Nov. 28.

Winter break: Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Friday, Jan. 2

Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, Jan. 19

Presidents' Day Winter Recess: Monday, Feb. 16, to Tuesday, Feb. 17

Spring break: Monday, April 13, to Friday, April 17

Last day of school (tentative): Thursday, June 11, for CHS seniors (with graduation on Friday, June 12); K-11's last day is Friday, June 12.
