Cherry Brook Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday
Family comes from as far away as Canada to celebrate the big day.
Friends and family from as far away as Canada came to Cherry Brook Health Care Center Wednesday to help Elisabeth Streeter celebrate her 100th birthday.
Streeter was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, the 5th of 8th children to Alfred and Alma Biron. She came to the United States during the depression and married her late husband George Streeter.
The couple eventually settled in Wallingford, CT. Streeter has been a wonderful cook and seamstress and loves spending time with family. She never learned to drive.

She can still communicate fairly well and came to the health center in December.
"She's a sweetie," said her daughter Georgette Benson.
