New Canton School Chief Officially On The Job
Canton's new superintendent started work earlier this month after being hired by the school board in January.

CANTON, CT — With the changing of the town's fiscal/school year calendar July 1 came the official arrival of new Canton Superintendent of Schools Jordan Grossman.
Hired in January by the Canton Board of Education, Grossman, who has previously worked in Canton schools as a principal and assistant school chief, officially started work July 1.
He is the former Granby school superintendent.

In a letter to the Canton Public Schools community July 3, Grossman said his appointment to Canton is a "proud" accomplishment in his career.
"I would like to take this opportunity to share with you how deeply touched and honored I am to be your superintendent of schools," Grossman wrote.

"I look forward to working collaboratively with the Canton community to build upon the strong tradition of a superior education and immersing myself into the Canton culture to work my hardest on behalf of students, families and staff."
In the coming year, Grossman said he plans to conduct regular "Community Conversation" meetings with the public to garner input on the school system from those served by it.
He thanks the local community for welcoming him back to Canton.
"I cannot thank you enough for such a warm welcome back to the Canton community. I look forward to working with you for many years to come," he wrote.
