Sign Up Now For Canton Middle School's Large Road Race Fundraiser

CANTON, CT — The deadline to get a free T-shirt for participating in a local middle school's road race fundraiser is this week.

The Canton Middle School PTO invites all families to the 33rd annual Canton Lobster Loop 5K road race and non-competitive health walk.

It will begin on the Canton Town Green, at the corner of Route 44 and Dowd Avenue, on Sunday, Aug. 24, at 8:30 a.m.

This is the middle school’s largest fundraiser of the year.

All proceeds will be used in support the educational, social, and emotional growth of Canton Middle School students.

There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for 12 categories awarded, along with four 1st place trophies.

All participants who are pre-registered by Friday, Aug. 1, will receive a free Lobster Loop T-shirt the day of the race.

The registration fee is $30. Registration will only be available online. Registration will be available on race day through one's own device or phone. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

For safety reasons, wheels (bikes, strollers, roller-blades, etc.) and animals (dogs, other pets, etc.) are not allowed on race day.
