Small Business Week & Community Shred Event

Each year the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recognizes the outstanding contributions of America's small businesses during National Small Business Week.

This year the Avon/Canton Chamber of Commerce will be joining in the festivities by spotlighting a number of our member small businesses -- Monday, May 1 thru Friday, May 5 -- AND concluding the week with our 3rd Annual Community Shred Event on Saturday, May 6!
When you shop at a local business, a significant amount of that money stays in the community and is reinvested in the form of: taxes that help enhance public services | greater employment opportunities | support of local civic and non-profit organizations | increased local business-to-business purchasing.

Show your appreciation for what our small businesses do for our local communities and the services they provide by supporting them during National Small Business Week.

  8-9:30 AM at Collinsville Bank, 277 Albany Turnpike, Canton AND 10-11:30 AM at Northwest Community Bank, 101 Simsbury Road, Avon. Cost is the donation of Non-Perishable Food Items to Benefit the Canton Food Bank (8-9:30 AM) and the Avon Food Bank (10-11:30 AM). Limit of three (3) copy-paper sized boxes per vehicle.
