Town Recognizes Donate Life Month

Earlier this week, First Selectman Richard Barlow raised a Donate Life flag at the town green near the intersection of Dowd Avenue and Route 44.

Displaying the flag is a cooperative effort with LifeChoice Donor Services, a non-profit, federally designated organ procurement organization serving six counties in Connecticut and three in Western Massachusetts.

Barlow has also issued a proclamation, acknowledging April as National Donate Life Month

“As a Canton resident and LifeChoice Donor Services employee, I’m proud of my hometown for being a part of this initiative for the past 3 years, said  Caitlyn Bernabucci, a Public Education/Community Relations Specialist with the organization. “It will take the commitment of all communities to help address the critical organ shortage.”
