
Robert de Jongh, long-time chairman of the town's Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission, has been named the Cheshire Grange Community Citizen of the Year.
de Jongh is the founder of NEi Financial, LLC of Cheshire and was recently recognized by Connecticut Magazine as one of the top wealth advisors in Connecticut, according to a news release.
de Jongh will officially be recognized at the annual Awards Night on Wed. May 2nd at 7:30 PM at the Cheshire Grange Hall, 44 Wallingford Rd.

The Community Citizen of the Year award is given annually by Cheshire Grange for exemplary volunteer efforts demonstrating leadership and citizenship by providing service that positively impacts Cheshire and surrounding communities.
Cheshire Grange, organized in 1885, is one of nearly 60 Granges across Connecticut, and has been active in the Cheshire community for over 125 years through their service projects, agricultural fair, and numerous family-oriented activities and events.
