Cheshire Board of Ed Approves New School Budget
The Cheshire Board of Ed approved a new budget for the upcoming year.

CHESHIRE, CT -- The Cheshire Board of Education approved a $69.4 million budget for the upcoming school year.
In the revised budget, which reflects a $1, 074, 309 increase over the current fiscal year, high school freshmen will receive Chromebook laptops, the band's new uniforms are funded, but Spanish instruction for kindergarten and first graders won't be funded, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The board approved $100,000 for the Chromebooks and funds to replace the 20-year-old band uniforms, the Record-Journal reported.
