Cheshire Chamber Of Commerce Announces Merger With Neighboring Organization

The chamber's board of directors recently announced the merger.

CHESHIRE, CT — The Cheshire Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently voted to merge with the Prospect Business Association to “enhance, support, represent, and provide opportunities” for the business communities they serve, officials announced in a news release.

Following the merger, the new name will be The Cheshire-Prospect Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The name “marks the next chapter in our shared journey of economic development for Cheshire and Prospect,” officials wrote in the news release.

“This decision marks an exciting chapter of collaboration and growth, rooted in our shared commitment to fostering a vibrant business community,” the news release states. “By aligning our resources and networks, we aim to provide even greater value to our members, increase advocacy efforts, and streamline initiatives that benefit businesses of all sizes.”

Yetta Augur, president of The Cheshire-Prospect Regional Chamber of Commerce, said: “We believe that coming together with the Prospect Business Association will create a stronger, mor dynamic organization that is better positioned to serve our members and the broader community.”

Over the coming weeks, officials said both organizations will work closely to integrate operations and communicate with all members.
