Organizers said there will be no Kiwanis Carnival rides and no petting zoo at this year’s festival due to a downsized venue because Bartlem Park is under construction. Kiwanis has arranged for the inflatables on Saturday for children at $5 each from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., according Cheshire Kiwanis Co-President Rachel Farris.
The Re/MAX Rise Hot Air Balloon Rides will be held at the Parks and Recreation Building from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sept. 9, subject to weather and the discretion of the operator, according to organizers. The cost is $20.
