Cheshire Hires New Police Officer

Vincent Nastri, 24, of North Haven has been hired by the as a probationary police officer. 

Nastri will be sworn in on Monday at police headquarters. He will begin in house training immediately and start basic training on July 13 at the Connecticut Police Academy for 20 weeks.

Once he's graduated from the academy, Nastri will be assigned to a field training officer for another 12 weeks before beginning his duties as a patrol officer.
