Cheshire Physician's License Revoked
Medical license pulled for doctor with Cheshire office.
After a 2009 license suspension, Dr. Jyoji Bristol, who had a Cheshire office on South Main Street, had his medical license revoked on Tuesday.
According to the New Haven Independent, the state Medical Examining Board revoked Bristol's license charging that he had sex with a drug-addicted patient and sent her sexually explicit test messages.
The Independent reports that dozens of hearings were held in the last year where testimony was given from patients and expert witnesses.Evidence given at the hearings, the Independent reports, shows that Bristol sent the 28-year-old patient more than 235 text messages and called her cell phone 284 times. The patient was admitted to rehabilitiation facilities for her addiction to opiates and the Independent reports documents showed Bristol wrote her prescriptions for Oxytocin each time upon her release.

The Hartford Courant reports Bristol was charged by health department investigators in 2009 with improperly prescribing opiates to at least four patients without adequately examining them beforehand.
He began practicing in Connecticut in 2008. The phone at his Cheshire office has been disconnected.
