Cheshire Professor to Teach at New QU Engineering School

The following information was provided as a news realease by Quinnipiac University: 

Justin W. Kile, of Cheshire, has been appointed to the founding faculty of the undergraduate engineering program at Quinnipiac University.

Kile is an associate professor of industrial engineering in the new program which will offer its first classes this fall. The university will offer programs in civil, mechanical, industrial and software engineering leading to bachelor of science degrees.

Kile comes to Quinnipiac from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he was coordinator of the industrial engineering program.

“I was attracted to Quinnipiac because of the energy and positive atmosphere on campus,” Kile said. “I am also very excited to be part of a faculty that is creating an educational structure for a new, student-centered engineering program. That’s very important to me.”

Kile holds a doctorate and a master’s degree in industrial and operational engineering from the University of Michigan. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and manufacturing engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the American Society for Engineering Education.
