To be honest, when I first decided to move to Cheshire with my family, I looked at a map and Cheshire is pretty centrally located and that’s where Central Connecticut Chiropractic came from.

Why start a business in this town?

I enjoyed the people and community atmosphere here in Cheshire and knew I wanted to raise my family and be involved in a community with small town values and lots of heart.

What business are you in?

I don’t believe that healthcare should be considered a business! It takes compassion and we focus on showing patients that there is hope and changing lives every day.

What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?

I’d say one of the biggest changes in healthcare today is that people are so confused about what they should or should not do for their families. There is just so much information out there and unfortunately not enough of it comes from thoroughly researched sources. Most of the public perception comes from media hype and I work every day to dispel health related myths and reiterate basic fundamentals of health to my patients.

What’s been your proudest achievement since opening?

Over time gaining the trust and confidence of my community and caring for multiple generations of family members. My office has become a healthcare resource for the community and I’m really proud to be a beacon of information and hope here in Cheshire.

How does your business give back to the community?

In addition to being a community health resource, we are very proud to give back to our patients and community every day. We sponsor many community events from road races, to health screenings to free consultations. We take pride in volunteering, to donating time or materials. We’ve given lectures at the high school, volunteered time at employee health workshops, we are very active on social media, with kids sporting events and we send quarterly newsletters with useful health related material. We are one of the largest drop-off locations in New Haven County for Toys for Tots and typically fill our entire reception area every December. This will also be the 14th year we collect non-perishable food items in the fall for the Cheshire Food Pantry.
