Driver Extricated After Crash In Cheshire: Fire Officials
A driver was extricated from a vehicle with the "jaws of life" after a crash in Cheshire, according to fire officials.
CHESHIRE, CT — A driver was extricated from an SUV after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in Cheshire, according to fire officials.
Firefighters responded around 4 p.m. to a report of a motor vehicle crash with extrication required near the intersection of Jarvis Street and Dundee Drive, according to officials.
Officials said SUV had collided with a landscape trailer that was traveling in the opposite direction.

“The driver of the SUV was trapped in the vehicle,” officials wrote in a post on the Cheshire Fire Department’s Facebook page. “CFD crews used the Jaws of Life to extricate driver. Once the driver was removed they were treated by Trinity ambulance. Responding units were Cars 1, 2, 3 & 12, Engine 5 and Rescue 1, Cheshire PD and Trinity ambulance.”
