[UPDATE] Malloy to Hot Dog it in Cheshire

The governor on Monday will visit Blackie's Hot Dog Stand as part of tourism program.

The 80-year-old ranks high enough in the tourism program of the state to merit a visit on Monday by Governor Dannel P. Malloy.

As part of a day-long tour of state destinations, Malloy will stop at Blackie's on Waterbury Road about 11:30 a.m. to promote the state's hospitality, tourism, and recreation opportunities, according to a statement from the governor.

The visit follows the state's new marketing campaign; "Still Revolutionary" that tourism officials believe "will boost revenues and draw attention to the state’s distinctive attractions and extraordinary destinations through an aggressive marketing campaign," the statement reads.
