Obituary: Anna Cavallaro, 89, of Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT - (From Alderson-Ford Funeral Home) Anna Cavallaro, 89, passed away peacefully at Complete Care of Meriden on May 5, 2022, after an extended illness.

Anna was born in New Haven, on June 26, 1932, the daughter of the late Aniello and Carmela (Minichino) Criscuolo.

Anna was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph of 57 years in 2010. Anna is survived by her three children Theresa (Michael) Dogali of Durham, Joseph (Cynthia) Cavallaro of Cheshire, and Carmen (Diane) Cavallaro of Prospect.

Anna is also survived by her grandchildren Kristin Cavallaro (Chris Smith), Mark Cavallaro (Kathy), Andrew Verity (Danielle), Matthew Cavallaro (Joanna), Joseph Cavallaro IV (Brittany), Carmen Cavallaro Jr., Kimberly Cavallaro (Tony Porto), Jayson Cavallaro, Kaitlin Cavallaro (Deven Clausen) and her great-grandchildren Brandon Cavallaro, Mark Cavallaro Jr., Hunter Cavallaro, Joseph Cavallaro V, Sophia Cavallaro, Anthony Porto as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to being a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Anna worked for several years as the office manager for Fred J. Criscuolo and Company. Anna was extremely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but wonderful memories.

Arrangements – Anna’s funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 10:45 am and process to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St. for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30.

Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. A period of visitation will be held Wednesday morning from 9:45 am until the procession leaves for church.
