• Free Electronics, Mattress Recycling Event To Be Held In Cheshire (patch.com) — Cheshire residents have a chance to clear out old electronics, mattresses, and yard waste at a free town recycling event this Saturday, Dec. 13, at the former transfer station on Waterbury Road. The program is limited to Cheshire residents with proof of residency and includes specific rules on acceptable items and size limits, helping locals dispose of common household clutter responsibly.
   

• Killingly vs. Daniel Hand state championship football game being moved from Coast Guard Academy (nbcconnecticut.com) — Cheshire High football fans should note that Saturday’s CIAC Class L championship against New Canaan will now kick off at 4 p.m. at Veterans Stadium in New Britain. The change comes after the Class SS title game was moved from the Coast Guard Academy due to Real ID access concerns, forcing a reshuffle of all championship start times.
