• Kindergarten Registration Begins In Cheshire: Here’s What To Know (patch.com) — Families in Cheshire with children turning five before Sept. 1, 2026 can now register for kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year, either online or at an in-person event on Feb. 4. The notice explains how to find your child’s assigned elementary school, where Barnum district students should register, and lists contact information for each Cheshire elementary school. Parents are also told to expect a welcome letter from their school’s principal in late May.
   

• Virginia Tech: Former 5-star TE Luke Reynolds transfers to Hokies (gobblercountry.com) — A former Cheshire Academy football standout, tight end Luke Reynolds of Cheshire is transferring from Penn State to Virginia Tech, where he’ll reunite with former Nittany Lions coaches. The 5-star recruit, who has two years of eligibility left, is expected to play a major role in the Hokies’ tight end-focused offense after increased production in the 2025 season.
