Rev. Donna Grow Ives, 81, died May 6, 2025. A former elementary educator and ordained UCC minister with a Master of Divinity from Andover Newton, she was deeply involved in the Bethany Congregational Church, served as pastor of First Congregational Church of Derby and spent summers lifeguarding at Peck Pond, fostering dogs, and enjoying time with family and pets.

Gilman F. Cote, 85, died May 6, 2025; a mechanical engineer in the spring design industry for 47 years, he earned his degree from the Univ. of Hartford while working full-time and enjoyed piloting small aircraft, skiing, white-water rafting, hiking the Grand Canyon, and summer trips to Smith Mountain Lake.
Gerald "Jerry" Webb, 63, died on Tue., May 6, 2025. A dedicated physical education teacher with Cheshire Public Schools and legendary football coach whose 40-year career began in Branford, CT, he held a Master’s from Southern Connecticut State Univ., was an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan, and enjoyed sports travel, Disney trips, and spirited conversation.

Richard Franklin Cushing, 84, died on May 6, 2025. A longtime employee of the Ball and Socket Company and active member of the First Congregational Church, he enjoyed gardening, swimming, religious trips, and trading stocks.
Mary Lucille “Marie” Malin (née Mangine), 85, died on May 9, 2025. A Realtor Emeritus with over 50 years in real estate and longtime agent at Calcagni & Associates, she was deeply involved in civic service through the Rotary Club, Cheshire Chamber of Commerce, and YMCA, and enjoyed beach picnics, concerts, comedy shows, travel, and coordinating Girl Scout Cookies.
