Road Closure Announced In Cheshire

Police are advising motorists of a road closure that will be in effect in Cheshire.

CHESHIRE, CT — Police are advising motorists of a road closure that will be in effect on Thursday afternoon (Sept. 4).

A portion of East Johnson Avenue will be closed around 1 p.m. as part of an investigation for a previous crash, according to police.

The road will be closed between Highland Avenue and Peck Lane, and there will be no through traffic, police said.

“Local traffic (destinations inside the closed area) will be assisted by officers at the closure to reach their destination,” police wrote in an advisory. “The road will close at around 1pm, and will be opened as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.”
