'Significant Water Main Break' Leads To Detours In Cheshire
A water main break Friday morning has led to a detour that could extend into the evening, according to police.
CHESHIRE, CT — A "significant water main break" is leading to detours in Cheshire, according to police.
The water main break occurred in the area of 660 W. Main St.
Drivers should expect delays. All eastbound traffic will be detoured as follows:

- Right onto Mountain Road
- Left onto Cornwall Avenue
- Left onto Willow Street
- Right onto West Main Street
The detour will be in place until the water main is fixed, which police said "could take into the evening hours."
The public is asked to avoid the area if possible.
