Gunneson commented further about the October 29th meet and the season that just ended. “Colin, Daniel and James combined took 50 seconds off our total team time and Brian took off 40 seconds from his previous time on the course. Brian really came through for us, running a great race and taking the 5th spot for the team! It was Brian’s highest place finish for the team. Tyler, Colin, Daniel, James, and Brian were all key contributors to sealing our 3rd place finish. We will miss all of our seniors next year, especially Colin who ran number 2 for us all season and Mike who ran as our 5th for many races. We will also miss the strong leadership of our Captains Clyde, Colin and Mike. Jack Lengyel had a strong season finishing in the number 5 spot for the team in many meets helping the team to score well. Next summer the boys will hopefully get plenty of training in so we will have a strong start to the season! We had an awesome season with only 2 losses to Xavier and Daniel Hand, won the Housatonic Championship, finished 4th at the SCC Championship, 2nd at Winding Trails Invitational, 9th at the Wickham Park Invitational and 3rd place at the Class L Championship! The boys have many accomplishments to be proud of as individuals and also as a team!”
