Volunteers will also gather at PAWS on November 1 and 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. to distribute orders to street captains, and on Nov. 7 to assemble boxes of luminaries for the Mile of Hope.

The organization’s annual luminary event has raised more than $700,000 since its inception. Proceeds have gone to organizations such as the Cheshire Community Food Pantry, Cheshire Department of Youth and Social Services, the Mari Hall Family Foundation and the Petit Family Foundation, as well as toward two scholarships for Cheshire students based on volunteerism within the community.
