Worker Killed By Fallen Tree In Cheshire Identified: PD

CHESHIRE, CT — The worker who died after a tree fell on him has been identified as 50-year-old Timothy Healy of Naugatuck, Cheshire police said in an update Tuesday.

Cheshire police, along with Trinity Ambulance and the Cheshire Fire Department, responded around 4:10 p.m. Monday to 16 Chipman Drive on the report of a tree worker who had been caught under a felled tree that had fallen in an unintended direction, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital but died from his injuries, police said.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) responded to the scene and is working in conjunction with the Cheshire Police Department to investigate the incident.
