Danbury Woman, 25, Killed In Wrong Way Crash: State Police
A 25-year-old Danbury woman was killed by a motorist driving in the wrong direction on Route 7 overnight, according to state police.
DANBURY, CT — A 25-year-old Danbury woman was killed by a motorist driving in the wrong direction on Route 7 overnight, state police have reported.
Danielle Dempsey, of Alan Road, was traveling on Route 7 southbound, north of the Exit 7 entrance ramp in Danbury shortly before 2 a.m. when her Honda Accord was struck head-on by a Dodge Challenger GT, police said. Dempsey died at the scene, according to police.
The driver of the Challenger, 33-year-old Charles Connors of West River Street in Milford, was transported to Danbury Hospital for suspected serious injuries.
