The Abbott Tech Leo Club along with the Danbury Lions Club received a Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) Grant to construct a shed at the Danbury Museum. The shed walls were constructed by the Abbott Tech Carpentry Shop and Bill Lewis and other museum volunteers assembled the building. The Abbott Tech Leos trimmed, painted and finished the shed, designed and created a plaque, and moved the gardening implements from the old storage space. LCIF is the grant-making body that empowers Lions to create a larger impact within their local and global service work. Museum Director Brigid Guertin says, “the shed will greatly improve the volunteer experience at the museum.”
