Augie of Augie's Numero Uno Tells His Friends on Facebook He'll see Them After Vacation

Augie Incorvaia always schedules his annual family vacation as a two-week break from the Germantown Restaurant around July 4.

That issue got confused Friday when IRS agents showed up at the restaurant and turned people away. Signs posted on the door said the traditional July 4 vacation would start Monday, July 2. Customers showed up all afternoon, and by about 6:45 p.m., they were told by a second sign the restaurant would reopen on Saturday.

Augie founded his restaurant in 1989, sold it three years later. He bought it back in 2005. He's run it ever since, and in the last two years he branded and started selling his own spaghetti sauce. Augie greets customers by name, and he's the one answering the phones, talking to the customers or making the pizza. Augie is Augie's.
