BREAKING: Metro-North Says Danbury Line Trains, Buses Delayed After Crash: Update
BREAKING: MTA said delays are still in effect for the Danbury and Norwalk train lines and buses being used to transport passengers delayed.
DANBURY, CT — Update: The Danbury Branch Southbound Service train operating 15 to 20 minutes late due to earlier damage at a grade crossing requiring attention, Metro-North Railroad tweeted at 2 pm. Tuesday. The MTA also stated that substitute bus service is being provided for the 12:03PM train from Danbury to South Norwalk but the bus service is currently delayed.
Original Post: A car crashed into a railroad crossing at the downtown train station near East Liberty Street and is causing delays on the Metro-North Danbury Branch line, the News Times reports. A Metro-North spokesperson told the paper that southbound trains from Danbury were not running as of 11 a.m. and Northbound trains are delayed.
