From 4 to 5 p.m. there will be a panel discussion of the midterm elections and what they might mean for Connecticut, its people and its businesses. The panel is moderated by Paul Steinmetz, director of community relations at Western Connecticut State University, and it includes Republican Robert Yamin, Danbury's Corporation Counsel, and Democrat Joseph Walkovich, of Walkovich Associates. The panel's independent is James Bellano, former director of the Housatonic Valley economic development partnership and an adjunct professor at WCSU. Among the issues the panel will discuss is what Congress will do now, what this election means for the 2012 presidential election, and what impact the Tea Party will have.
"This showcase is a great way for people to see what our local business offer, and it's a great showcase for our local businesses," said Stephen Bull, president of the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce.
