Child Struck And Killed By Car In Danbury Parking Lot Accident: Police
A young child has died after being struck by a car in a Danbury parking lot, police officials reported Tuesday afternoon.
DANBURY, CT — A young child has died after being struck by a car in a Shelter Rock Road parking lot, Danbury police officials reported Tuesday afternoon.
The accident occurred just before 2 p.m. The child was taken to the hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries, according to police spokesperson Erin Henry.
The incident is under investigation by the Danbury Police Department's Accident Investigation and Special Victims Units.

"This tragic incident appears to be accidental," Henry said, and the names of those involved are being withheld out of respect for the family.
