CityCenter Danbury Announces 1st Downtown Danbury Holiday Decorating Contest
The deadline for contest entry is Wednesday, November 30.

From CityCenter Danbury:
DANBURY, CT - PJ Prunty, Executive Director of CityCenter Danbury, which hosts the annual "Light the Lights" Downtown arrival of Santa Claus, has announced what could be called "Light the Lights II", an invitation to merchants, businesses, landlords, and urban enthusiasts to "dress up CityCenter for our residents, workers, and guests for the holiday and winter season". A non-denominational contest, the program encourages decorations - of any kind - on the outside of buildings, in windows, on doors and in display cases. "We want Downtown to sparkle this holiday season," says Prunty, "and we welcome creative, clever, and unique displays to complement our traditional Main Street holiday lights."
There will be prizes awarded - First Place $500, Second Place $250, and Third Place $125. Winners will be selected by Danbury’s own Mayor Mark Boughton, Emanuela Palmares (Editor, Tribuna) and Jacqueline Smith (Editor, News-Times). Prizes will be in the form of CityCenter Gift Certificates which can be redeemed at downtown participating restaurants, bars, retail stores and other businesses. Registration forms are available on the CityCenter web site, citycenterdanbury.com, and must be received by Wednesday, November 30th.
