CityCenter Danbury Farmers' Market Will Now Feature Live Music
CityCenter Danbury Farmers Market is adding live music to its "Better Food for Better Health" program with funding from Greystar.

From CityCenter Danbury:
“Food is music to the body, music is food to the heart”, wrote Australian author Gregory David Roberts. With that in mind, Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC, developers of downtown Danbury's new apartment complex Kennedy Flats, has awarded $1,700 to the popular CityCenter Danbury Farmers' Market to add an ongoing music component to the Market's colorful cornucopia.

"We believe that Farmers' Markets are an integral part of any thriving community and are happy to be able to enhance this weekly event by sponsoring live music," says Justin Gaboury, Senior Community Manager of Kennedy Flats, which overlooks Kennedy Park, where the Farmers' Market will open its 7th season on Saturday, June 25th. "Having access to fresh local produce and handcrafted items outside of our doorstep is a tremendous asset to downtown residents."
Working with Western Connecticut State University, the CityCenter Danbury Farmers' Market looks forward to engaging students, alumni, and faculty members in a lively community market culture while offering them a new venue and audience for WCSU musical troupes. While listening to music enlivening a growing downtown, you can forage for greens to Folk, pick up a pepper with Pop, jam with Jazz, or buy a trio of apples with Acoustic or Acapella music - and it's all Connecticut Grown.
