Connecticut Horror Fest Brings Back 'Godfather of the Dead,' Ladies of The Evil Dead and More
The Connecticut Horror Fest will be held at The Matrix Conference Center in Danbury and will feature popular actors of classic horror films.
DANBURY, CT — Mark your calendars for thrills and chills on Saturday, August 27 at the Connecticut Horror Fest, presented by Connecticut-based horror website HorrorNewsNetwork.net, one of the top horror news and information sites on the web.
Come meet celebrities from horror films, horror-themed vendors, actor panels and get a chance to get signed autographs and photos for $30 and up. There will be a costume contest as well for kids and adults and a chance to win up to $350 in cash prizes.
Organizers said, "We have the person that basically created the zombie genre, George Romero, a universal monster, a Jason, a Michael Myers, the Ladies of the Evil Dead, the star of Gremlins and more."

George Romero, the "Godfather of the Dead," is a featured guest. Romero acted in "Night of the Living Dead," the film that organizers say would become the standard that all zombie films to be measured against.
The Ladies of The Evil Dead— Ellen Sandweiss, Betsy Baker and Theresa Tilly— will be signing autographs and offering photo ops. Sandweiss starred in "The Evil Dead," "My Name is Bruce," and "Oz the Great and Powerful. Baker starred in "The Evil Dead," "ER," "True Blood," and "Oz the Great and Powerful. Tilly starred in "The Evil Dead," "Oz the Great and Powerful," and "Stomping Ground."

Scream fans will get a chance to get up close and personal with Tyler Mane, the iconic Michael Myers in the the 2007 Rob Zombie remake of “Halloween” and 2009 “Halloween II.” Mane also appeared in “The Devil’s Rejects” as Rufus and played Sabretooth in 2000’s “X-Men.”
Also in attendance will be Ricou Browning, the "Creature from the Black Lagoon," who introduced the world to Gill-man, Zach Galligan, best known for his role as Billy Peltzer in the classic “Gremlins” movie, Steve Dash, of "Friday the 13th" fame, Kevin Van Hentenryck of B-horror films, Erika Ervin who played “Amazon Eve”in "American Horror Story" and Robert Maillet who played “The Master” on the hit TV show “The Strain.”
Jason McLeod, a paranormal investigator and spiritualist who has spent the last 28 years helping families deal with spirits who still linger in their lives will be in attendance as well. McLeod was mentored by Lorraine Warren and her late husband Ed, world renowned demonologists whose stories were the basis of "The Amityville Horror" and "The Conjuring" movies.

The event will be held on Saturday, August 27 from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. at the Matrix Conference Center, 39 Old Ridgebury Road, Danbury.
