Local leaders statewide have been tasked with crafting budgets with clouds of statewide fiscal uncertainty hanging overhead. Gov. Dannel Malloy's initial state budget proposal included shifting 1/3 of teacher pension costs to municipalities. To make matters more uncertain, state budget officials got word Monday that income tax receipts came in much lower than expected.
The budget discussion will take place during Tuesday's meeting of City Council, which begins at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. To view more information on the budget, click here.
