Danbury Fair Tree at Danbury Museum Bazaar
This is an odd sort of Christmas tree. It's all decorated in early American 'Danbury Fair.'
We've all seen a few odd things around the holidays.
One of my favorites is the Christmas tree in the Museum of Natural History all decorated with origami animals.
That is something quite American. The Greman-rooted Christmas tree, the American museum, and Japanese-originated origami animals. It being the Museum of Natural History, these are not simple animals, if memory serves. These are elaborate paper confections that awe visitors.

In the Danbury Museum & Historical Society, visitors to the Danbury Museum Holiday Bazaar can see a Christmas Tree all decorated in Danbury Fair.
Paul Bunyan is there. Not life size. Not Danbury Fair size, of course, but anyone who remembers the big lumberjack from the fair will recognize this miniature.

I won't continue in detail, but run through the photographs, and you'll get an idea.
If the fair ever returns, I do hope they'll bring back ostrich racing. If the museum needs a fund raiser, they could rent out the tree by the week. People would be willing to pay something to have it in the house.
As you will see from one of the photographs, the items were donated by the families of Robert and Patricia Paquette (former Police Chief) and by Joe and Christy Saffi (Danbury Attorney.) The tree display was created by Susan Chabot.
